Surrounded by a landscape unchanged for centuries, Park Farm lies secluded on the historic Shuckburgh Estate. Approached by a mile long drive, flanked either side by a Deer Park and expansive rolling countryside, we can provide a private and totally unique backdrop for your special day.

Our venue consists of two original unspoilt rustic barns. The Cart Shed, Lambing Shed and our unique woodland ceremony area are all licensed for civil ceremonies offering you the opportunity to get married on site and relax for a couple of days amongst family and friends. Adjoining the Cart Shed is a marquee which increases our capacity and beautiful gardens, grounds and spacious bed and breakfast and glamping accommodation all add to the welcoming atmosphere at Park Farm. The Cart Shed is an unspoilt country barn licensed for ceremonies but predominantly used for your festivities and The Lambing Shed can be a ceremony barn by day and a relaxed space to sit back and chill by night.

We pride ourselves on our flexible approach at Park Farm and whilst being able to offer a comprehensive list of local suppliers who all offer years of experience and expertise, we are also happy for you to source your own. We outsource all catering and bar requirements and with our no corkage policy this gives you the opportunity to reflect your own personal taste in all areas.

The Cart Shed

The Cart Shed is aptly named as it’s original purpose was to house horse drawn carts for the farm. It is a totally unspoilt red brick and tiled rustic barn and with our adjoining spacious 9 x 8m marquee, we have the capacity to seat a maximum number of 130 guests comfortably on either round or trestle tables. We can accomodate further guests in the evening, bringing the total evening capacity to 180 guests. With expansive views from all directions and wonderful rustic timbers decked with fairy lights we have created a truly magical and atmospheric venue for you and your guests to enjoy over a three day hire period.

On a sunny day we can draw open the curtains to the Cart Shed and open up the marquee allowing the sun to stream through and with our glowing fire pit and outside seating, guests can relax and party under the twinkling festoon lights.

Woodland Wedding Ceremonies

Tucked away within an avenue of ancient Oaks sits our woodland ceremony area which complements all weddings at Park Farm.

The brief we gave ourselves was to create a truly individual, natural space in keeping with the farm and it’s surroundings where couples could have a totally unique outside wedding experience.

With a capacity for 100 guests (including registrars etc) seated on rustic scaffolding planks, couples can make their wedding vows to each other with just the company of their families and friends, sheep bleating in the distance and birds chattering in the trees! Because the Oak trees offer both shade on very hot days along with plenty of cover for all but the very wettest of days we can make a last minute decision if plans need to change bringing your ceremony into The Lambing Shed in the event of bad weather.

The Lambing Shed

Originally a milking parlour, The Lambing Shed has a wealth of character and is generally the first choice of our two barns in which to host your civil ceremony and is licensed for 100 guests (including all officials, registrars, photographers etc). After the ceremony has taken place, we replace the chairs with more comfortable seating and with the addition of a large central woodburner The Lambing Shed becomes a cosy and intimate space for those quieter moments in the evening.

When not being used for civil ceremonies, The Lambing Shed can be utilised in many different ways. Perfect for an indoor drinks reception and later ideal for a quiet cup of tea relaxing on the comfortable sofas with family and friends. Photo booths, gin/whisky bars, cheese tables, evening food, indoor games etc have all been hosted in the Lambing Shed, the list of possibilities is endless.

The Orchard

The Orchard offers plenty of space for outside entertainment and to erect bell tents, yurts etc to give a glamping /festival theme to your wedding. Using one of our local tent suppliers and incorporating our fabulous shepherds huts you can turn the orchard into a tented village accommodating guests overnight or alternatively why not let friends and family pitch their own tents.

For family gatherings and to help entertain the children, add old fashioned garden games such as sack races, hoopla etc. Among the ancient oak trees, there is a large oak swing which adds to the excitement not to mention additional photo opportunities!

Please be aware we have a pond at the far end of the orchard, whilst fenced off, children do need to be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.
