With our barns having such a wealth of character and an appealing outside seating area and glowing fire pit contributing to the general ambience, Park Farm has a very informal, laid back vibe allowing you and your guests to completely relax and enjoy the celebrations.
Park Farm is a dry hire venue only outsourcing all catering and bar requirements. We like to think that this freedom to source your own suppliers, reflects your personal tastes and budgets allowing your creativity to shine thus making your wedding day truly memorable and bespoke. However, should you need some additional inspiration or guidance we also have a comprehensive list of local suppliers who all have a wealth of experience and are happy to share their knowledge and help.
The Cart Shed with its warm brick and timbers can be laid with round or trestle tables and suits both a formal wedding breakfast or a more casual style of dining. Whether your preference is for a seated three course meal or something more relaxed such as barbeques, sharing platters etc, The Cart Shed lends itself perfectly. Street food is also gaining popularity and with the choice of suppliers now available, any tastes can be catered for. These look wonderful set up outside under the twinkling festoon lights and give the venue a real festival type vibe. Another idea is to provide a wood fired pizza oven, these are particularly popular at the moment and are a great way to feed your evening guests.
The Lambing Shed comes into it’s own either as an alternative area for your drinks reception or later in the day for serving evening food. If the weather is inclement and with the woodburner lit, it is also an inviting space to just sit and relax with a cup of tea!
Park Farm has a no corkage policy and couples booking with us often like to bring in their own toast and table wines and source a supplier who will stock a bar for their evening celebrations. Most suppliers only charge a small fee to chill and serve your wines if they are also providing alternative bar services. The Cart Shed has a bar in place ready to be stocked by your supplier of choice and we also have an additional bar available which can be sited either outside or in the Lambing Shed should you require extra capacity.
Each and every wedding at Park Farm is unique and we enjoy welcoming different suppliers to the farm. Some couples prefer a very hands on DIY approach when it comes to their wedding catering and others like to hand the reins over completely to their supplier of choice. This flexibility is what makes Park Farm stand out as a venue.
“The moment we arrived on Park Farm we knew it was the one! We only viewed three venues, but Park Farm had such a special feeling. There is so much character in the buildings, but it’s essentially a blank canvas to decorate as you wish (Jill has a comprehensive props list to help). You can use the Lambing Shed, Cart Shed and even the paddock if the weather holds. Jill is really easy to get hold of, we must have visited 3 or 4 times in the run up. We used Taste to do our catering and bar, as recommended by Jill, and the day ran seamlessly. The setting makes for some beautiful photos. The fire pit was a popular place to chill and catch up or to take a rest from the high energy Ceilidh dancing! We opted for a midweek wedding which allowed us to plan in 6 months.
